Wondering what marketing will look like in 2020? Here six visionaries pick the trends reshaping the industry.
Marketers are no strangers to change. But as the pace of evolution picks up and consumers continue adapting to an ‘always-on’ environment, more and more marketers are wondering: will their industry even be recognisable by 2020?
To find out Marketo commissioned the Economist Intelligence Unit to ask six visionaries from across the globe which trends will define the future of marketing.
From engagement and agility to transparency, privacy and passion, these industry experts — including Seth Goddin, Aditya Joshi and John Hagel — have identified 15 key trends that marketers must come to terms with in order to survive and thrive in the long-term.
As Hagel explains: “If you think [marketing] has changed over the past five years, you ain’t seen nothing yet. If you’re a marketer, you’re going to have to do some fundamental rethinking of your approach.”
A full explanation of these trends and in-depth interviews with these marketing experts are included “The Next Era of Marketing: Six Visionaries Speak”, a new eBook now available to download.
