A startling 21% of people who download an app never look at it for a second time. How can you dodge the five major mistakes that kill many mobile apps before their time?
According to the marketing automation experts at Swrve apps aren’t failing because they don’t get enough screen time. In fact 48% of people aged 18 to 34 say that their mobile is their most important screen (a pretty crazy proportion when you consider that TV scored a measly 17%).
Meanwhile app usage is outstripping mobile internet usage by a ratio of 5:1.
In their new whitepaper ‘5 Killer Mistakes that Cause Mobile Apps to Fail’, Swrve writes: “The conclusion is clear — the ‘war’ is over and the mobile app has won. But time and time again we see the same mistakes undermining what in many cases are great mobile apps.”
From failing to develop a thoughtful onboarding strategy to leaping into development without a clear business plan, whether an app meets success or failure depends on far more than how awesome an idea it is.
