LinkedIn announces extensions to service

Following the successful introduction of a new LinkedIn system in the US last year, the UK career-networking portal has announced new features and extensions to its service.

Following the successful introduction of a new LinkedIn system in the US last year, the UK career-networking portal LinkedIn has announced new features and extensions to its service. All 17m UK users will be able to use an extended platform, which enables the display of published posts within their professional profile to reach more LinkedIn members.

The extended platform will also allow members who publish content to be ‘followed’ by others.

Darain Faraz, LinkedIn, said:

“Collectively, our members have several centuries’ worth of experience under their belts, and we wanted to give them a tool to showcase and share it. Now, they can demonstrate their thought leadership and expertise, and learn from other people’s.”
