Twitter launches new quote tweet function
Twitter is departing from the simple (and static) RT – letting users add opinions, views and comments about the content which they are retweeting in a bid to boost the art of conversation on the tool.
Twitter is departing from the simple (and static) RT – letting users add opinions, views and comments about the content which they are retweeting in a bid to boost the art of conversation on the tool.
Twitter has redressed the quote tweet function: the new update embeds the original tweet and allows the user to add extra comment.
The feature is now available on Twitter’s site and iPhone app and will be available on its Android app soon.
Twitter is departing from the simple (and static) RT – letting users add opinions, views and comments about the content which they are retweeting.
Although the new update isn’t groundbreaking – it lets users share and comment on tweets without having to shorten the original tweet – preserving the art of conversation on the tool.

I’ve had this option for quite a while now and the classic 150 character limit usually prevents any further commentary. Still.. its nice to have the option to make it your own..
