Find out what happens when you give marketers seven questions and one minute to explain what inspires and motivates them.
What do you want to be remembered for?I think I’d like to be remembered for always looking at the positives in any situation, that way you will always have the right perspective to get the best outcome from any challenges you face and really let yourself enjoy the good times.
I have two, the first embodies my belief that you have to keep striving and aiming higher to fulfill your personal potential (it’s also more fun!) – “Aim for the sky and you’ll reach the ceiling; aim for the ceiling you’ll stay on the floor” Bill Shankly, Liverpool F.C.
The second I think is something you should always be very aware of as it keeps you self-aware and grounded – “Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room”, Jeff Bezos, Amazon.
I am a pretty good sleeper, so either the sunshine, or my alarm, it’s usually the latter!
Sounds cheesy but my dad. He’s the most honest, caring, selfless, and hardworking person I’ve ever met and his principles remain consistent to every single individual regardless of who or what they are. If you can apply that to your professional and social life then you won’t go far wrong.
I think there is only one real answer here and that’s programmatic. Whatever area of advertising or marketing you work in you’ll be impacted in some manner by it throughout 2015. If you are thinking about it or are already involved in it you need to understand how your business and careers will need to pivot to take advantage of the huge opportunity it presents.
Ironically ‘Programmatic’, the same way I grew to dislike ‘mobile’ as a buzz word towards the back end of the 00’s. It gets mentioned at the drop of a hat and most often with either little relevance, or even worse, with no explanation as to why.
I thought the BA ‘Look up’ campaign was a great example of an innovative, yet simplistic advertising campaign.
