Adblock users temporarily unable to skip YouTube ads

Google Chrome users visiting YouTube have discovered that they can no longer skip adverts before playing a video, even with extension AdBlock Plus.

Google Chrome users visiting YouTube have discovered that they can no longer skip adverts before playing a video, even with extension AdBlock Plus.

Twitter users, confused about the change, have voiced their anger about the move:

Is it a glitch or a strategic plan? A thread has been discovered on the Chromium project issue tracker detailing this as a bug that needs to be fixed, confirms Geek.com“The bug seems to be related to hosted apps being treated as full extensions. The move comes a week after Google rolled out its AdWords Flash-based ads update, and Apple announced its plans to allow ad blocking software to run on its mobile Safari Browser.
