According to North Plains, brand asset management experts, new ways of collaborating can be the solution.
As they explain in their whitepaper “Empowering Digital Marketers through Dynamic Publishing”: “In the past corporate marketing has sought to implement a ‘command and control’ ethos upon local country operations in an effort to avoid brand dilution. This strategy has often had limited success, as local country operations made their own adaptations to messaging and branding to meet their own primary objective: sales targets.”
But now technology can help marketing teams work together in new ways. One such example is ‘Dynamic Publishing’, where templates are held centrally but can be downloaded instantly and customised within certain parameters by local teams.
As North Plains write: “Dynamic Publishing is a way of aligning corporate marketing strategy to operational execution, facilitated by technology.”
