You may have received an email from Twitter earlier this week that compiled some of the more popular hashtags from 2013, including #BostonMarathon and #RoyalBaby, sharing them through one of its latest features, custom timelines.

And what about the most-retweeted sentiments of 2013? Those included tweets from actress Lea Michelle on the death of her boyfriend, actor Cory Monteith, and a tweet from actor Paul Walker’s account, announcing his recent passing.
