As consumers around the world prepare their Christmas wish lists, the marketing team at Nokia is hoping a new social media campaign, composed of short films focusing on unusual Christmases and an interactive photo-sharing service, will take the Internet by storm.
If you thought your family was crazy during the festive period, think again.
“A few years ago, Canine Christmas came to me in a dream...” begins Shannon Oslen, the narrator of the first short film shot by Sundance-winning director, Jeff Feuerzeig, which focuses on dog-obsessed Shannon and her group of friends, who love their puppy friends so much, they dedicated a special Christmas day to them.
Developed by Geometry Global, the digital campaign also allows people to personalise Christmas cards out of particular shots used during filming.
Users are able to have a look through the various images on offer, select their favourite and customise it before sending it to their friends or family via social media. For example, above we have created one of their cards with a photo of our sub-editor, Rebecca (pictured). I think she looks pretty great, don’t you?
