Crispin Porter + Bogusky wins Applebee’s. “They offer exactly what we’re looking for: a business partner that values innovative ideas and bold execution,” said Becky Johnson, Applebee’s senior vice president, marketing and culinary. McCann Erickson New York previously had the assignment.
Pereira & O’Dell nabs Henkel account. The agency of record assignment includes CPG brands Purex, Renuzit, and Soft Scrub. P&O will provide digital, mobile, social, TV, print, and out of home.
Initiative’s Global CEO to step down. Richard Beaven will stay on as chairman until year’s end. He is succeeded by Jim Hytner, who leads sister agency Universal McCann in Europe and Asia. Plus: Initiative’s North America chief, Tim Spengler, was named CEO at Magnaglobal.
Clickable hires up. Newly filled posts at marketing and data platform include Dave Fall as chief operating officer, David Smith as chief revenue officer, Sanjay Gupta as senior director of engineering, and Brian Tucker as VP of agency sales.
Brightwave names Jessica Johnston as creative director. At BrightWave, an email marketing focused digital agency, she is responsible for the direction of the creative product and working with clients. She comes from BKV.
