icrossing hires 24/7 Real Media veteran to fill senior bizdev post; ExactTarget signs 80 customers; Responsys adds 15 to client roster.
SEM firm icrossing hired 24/7 Real Media veteran Sharon Smith as senior director of business development. Smith was VP of account management for 24/7 Real Media, before which she held a similar role with Real Media. She will manage icrossing’s business development teams in New York and Scottsdale, Arizona.
“We’ve been looking for someone who can elevate our entire enterprise with their broad knowledge and experience, and Sharon has really hit the ground running,” said icrossing CEO Jeffrey Herzog.
E-mail marketing software provider ExactTarget signed approximately 80 customers in March, the company said. They include cruise retailer Online Vacations, online publisher NewsMax, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. The company also won seven new agency clients, including Carmichael Lynch Advertising, Bison Advertising, Eagle River Associates, and Larsen Design.
Online marketer Responsys recently picked up 15 clients. They include Acadient, Avis Europe, Equinox Corp., HPC Interactive, Rydex Investments, Silicon Graphics and TSL Education.
Integrated creative firm ATTIK hired Patrick McFarlane as executive producer and head of production. Formerly with Pittard Sullivan in Los Angeles, McFarlane has overseen production for clients including ABC, AT&T Wireless, Disney and MGM. He will oversee production and delivery on all key ATTIK U.S. accounts.
The Phelps Group was recently selected by Malaysia Airlines tapped The Phelps Group to design and execute an integrated marketing campaign, including both traditional media and interactive components.
