MSNBC.com's Moore moves to MSN; Temerlin McClain hires a director of new media; Fastclick names a CTO.

MSNBC.com General Manager Scott Moore has moved to MSN, where he will be general manager of MSN Network experience. He is replaced by Charles Tillinghast, MSNBC’s former VP of sales and business development.

In his new role, Moore will oversee the team in charge of MSN’s home page, My MSN, numerous smaller channels and a range of editorial packages and ad solutions. Previously, he was advertising manager for Expedia.

Tillinghast joined MSNBC.com in 1999 as business development manager, prior to which he held sales posts in the software and health care industries.

McCann-Erickson Worldgroup subsidiary Temerlin McClain hired David Russell as its director of new media. Prior to joining the agency, Russell was the marketing director of Fitness Equipment Services, a direct marketer of high-end fitness equipment. His previous experience includes stints at Euro RSCG DSW Partners in Salt Lake City and Wieden & Kennedy Advertising in Portland, Oregon.

Fastclick named James Aviani its chief technology officer. Aviani led technology development for new business ventures at Cisco Systems, where he managed 40 engineers.

“His software development and network operations experience with one of the largest and most successful technology companies is especially valuable to our organization,” said Dave Gross, Fastclick CEO.

DoItYourself.com and FreeAdvice, two sites belonging to Advice Company, have begun using BURST! Media’s AdDesktop proprietary ad-management technology. One site had previously used Real Media for ad serving, the other had been a DoubleClick client.
