Digital grabs Ross from Tribal; Hires at Traffiq, Blue Sky, and Teracent; BBDO unveils GE campaign.
Tribal DDB’s Liz Ross is moving to Digitas. The former president of U.S. operations and global chief marketing officer at Tribal was named chief growth officer, U.S., at Digitas. Ross replaces global CMO Seth Solomons, who will now oversee the agency along with global chief creative Mark Beeching.
Adele Pellicane joined ad network and media management firm Traffiq as director, agency development. Pellicane formerly headed up Tri-State area sales at Time Inc./Media Networks. Before that, she worked in a variety of sales positions at Newsday, Inc.
Blue Sky Factory hired DJ Waldow as director of community. Waldow is tasked with helping the e-mail firm foster relationships with clients, partners, and industry colleagues through marketing, business development, and client services efforts.
Ad optimization firm Teracent made two senior hires in its sales organization. Jay VanDerzee, formerly of Maven Networks and Advertising.com, joined as VP of sales for the Eastern region; and Courtney McGovern, a veteran of 24/7 Real Media and DoubleClick, joins as sales director for the central region.
BBDO New York created a new integrated campaign for GE. Digital elements include rich media units showcasing workers who developed the CF-34 aircraft engine. Ads are running on news, finance, and conservative news sites. The campaign also includes TV and radio spots.
NetShelter Technology Media added three new publisher partners. TechSpot.com, Petri IT Knowledgebase, and PhoneDog joined the tech-focused ad network.
