ESPN Magazine Signs Marketing Pact With Infonautics

Infonautics Inc. and ESPN The Magazine signed a direct marketing agreement in conjunction with Infonautics’ latest online information service, Sports Sleuth.
Launched July 20, Sports Sleuth is an Internet source for free, personalized email containing sports news and information gleaned from hundreds of national and local Web sites.
Visitors who register for free membership to the Sports Sleuth service will be offered a risk-free issue of ESPN The Magazine. Those who select the promotion can later choose to continue their subscription for a fee. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
The Sports Sleuth service, now in a preview release, members to create a personal profile of teams from the NFL, NBA, NHL, Major League Baseball, and Division I-A NCAA Football. Sports Sleuth also tracks NASCAR.
Infonautics also operates Company Sleuth, a business information service, Job Sleuth, a free Internet search tool for job seekers, and research site Electric Library.
