DoubleClick prepares two office moves; Framfarb Denmark snatches up customers and staff from bankrupt consultancy Icon Medialab Denmark; boede&partners launches an integrated campaign for Unisys.

DoubleClick is preparing to relocate its New York headquarters office to Chelsea and has signed a lease termination agreement for its San Francisco location.

The ad technology company, which has occupied its huge Manhattan office on West 33rd Street since late 1999, will move 16 blocks South to a smaller location on 8th Avenue between 15th and 16th streets. The old space will be occupied by the Associated Press, the world’s largest news organization.

“This is a great move for DoubleClick overall, switching buildings and getting into a lower square footage space, and it’ll reduce our projected facilities cost by $10 million per year,” said DoubleClick CFO Bruce Dalziel.

DoubleClick has also signed a lease termination agreement for its office in San Francisco, but has not yet released details about its new Bay area location.

Icon Medialab Denmark declared bankruptcy last week, and parts of the company have been aquired by Web consultancy Framfarb Denmark.

Framfab will pick up 14 employees and a number of customer relationships. The company said it would work to preserve project continuity for its new clients.

“My hope is that Icon Medialab’s clients will not be affected by the bankruptcy,” said Jesper Andersen, CEO of Framfab Denmark. “The important thing for me is to make sure that Icon Medialab’s clients feel like their relationships are continuing as if nothing had happened.

“Our new employees will continue working on Icon Medialab Denmark’s ongoing projects,” he added. “We will be supporting our new employees all the way to ensure that clients will receive the same high quality work as they have been accustomed to in the past.”

Framfab provides Internet technology consulting and business services. Most of its customers are big international companies, including 3M, IKEA and Volvo Car Corporation. The company operates in Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

Integrated marketer boede&partners has launched a Web and direct mail campaign for Unisys.

The campaign, which promotes the ClearPath Plus line of Unisys mainframes, includes email, a ClearPath microsite and direct mailers. It is now launching in the United States and will continue through September, with an eventual expansion to other countries.

“Boede&partners has developed a highly integrated, high-impact campaign that helps us meet our objective of positioning the ClearPath brand as the high-end computing standard and allows us to speak proactively to our customer base,” said Guy Esnouf, VP of marketing for Unisys’ systems and technology division.

Transcontinental Media has signed a two-year ad serving deal making 24/7 Real Media’s Open AdStream Central its exclusive platform.

The fourth-largest print media group in Canada, Transcontinental Media is the largest publisher of consumer magazines in Canada. The company’s network of Web sites includes mochasofa.ca, canadianliving.com, styleathome.com, ellecanada.com and lesaffaires.com. It said it was attracted to Open AdStream’s trafficking and geo-targeting capabilities.
