Epsilon hires Steve Cone to lead strategic marketing services; Delta uses Omniture; EyeWonder taps Kapczynski to helm in-stream solutions

Epsilon named Steve Cone EVP of strategic marketing services. The author of “Steal These Ideas: Marketing Secrets That Will Make You a Star,” rejoins the marketing technologies and services company after a nearly 30 year absence.

Delta Air Lines selected Omniture to enhance its online experience. The airline will use Omniture SiteCatalyst Web analytics to measure how customers interact with their Web site and evaluate visitor response to online marketing campaigns and promotions.

EyeWonder named Mark Kapczynski VP and general manager of in-stream solutions. The rich media and video ad technology company hired Kapczynski from his position as founder and CEO of MESoft. He was also formerly director of the worldwide media & entertainment solutions group for Microsoft.

The Wall Street Journal named Don Reis VP of advertising sales, West Coast. Reis will be responsible for both the print and online editions of the newspaper. Reis previously served as VP of multimedia sales for TV, magazine, and online properties within the Western region for ESPN.

The Laredo Group named Jason Heller executive vice president. The interactive agency hired Heller to head the firm’s newly opened New York office.

Global Wire Service Agence France-Presse (AFP) and ClipSyndicate signed a content deal. Video from AFP’s 165-country network will be distributed to ClipSyndicate’s ad-supported video syndication network.

The Email Experience Council added BrightWave Marketing and EmailStatCenter.com as sponsors.

Haymarket Media Group selected Puresend for outbound e-mail. The privately owned magazine publisher in the U.K. will use Purecast to handle delivery of its electronic publications in the U.S.

Q Interactive promoted Gayle Guzzardo to senior vice president of product management. Guzzardo was previously responsible for new product development and optimization of the interactive marketing services provider’s online lead generation services.

Reardon Smith Whittaker hired Suzanne Herman as business manager. The lead generation and agency branding consultancy tasked Herman with managing the outreach on behalf of a number of agency clients.

McRae Communications hired two execs. The Atlanta-based agency hired Joshua Kayne as director of interactive services and Brent Terrazas as an interactive account executive.

Adtech US signed Targetjobs. The niche job board will use the AOL-owned ad technology firm’s Helios IQ ad serving systems on its sites, including healthecareers.com, careerbank.com, hcareers.com and medhunters.com.
