icrossing promotes Ramamrutham; Prominent Placement adds five clients; I/PRO names a VP of sales.

icrossing promoted Nanu Ramamrutham from director of product development to chief technology officer. Before joining the search marketing firm, Ramamrutham spent a decade with Lucent.

Another search marketer, Prominent Placement, picked up five clients. They include Butterbean Trading Company, Fifth Group Restaurants, Modern Process Equipment, Superior Industries and the Virgin Island Villa Owners Association.

Web site auditing and research firm I/PRO hired Michael Crosson as senior VP of sales and business development. Crosson was VP of sales for Vivendi-Universal.
