Two Seattle online design agencies–Honkworm International and POP! Multimedia–joined forces “to better serve advertising agencies and more demanding corporate clients.”
As part of the alliance, Honkworm and POP! will work together to create, develop and produce multimedia “webisodes” for corporate clients. Honkworm and POP! will also collaborate on developing and pitching new business opportunities related to how brand name clients leverage entertainment on their sites, they said.
“Corporate clients are looking for ways to add entertainment-value into their sites to create repeat traffic and build new relationships with their customers,” said Honkworm CEO and former Microsoft executive Johan Liedgren. “But storytelling for the Web is very different than creating commercials for TV–on the Web you have to give viewers a reason to come back for more tomorrow.”
“Companies searching for a larger online audience will continue to move away from static content and towards the benefits of streaming media,” said POP! Multimedia CEO Bill Predmore. “The next wave of online advertising will rely on dynamic, entertaining media that actively engages the user.”
Honkworm International is a privately held online advertising and entertainment agency and is a partnership between Johan Liedgren and Noah Tannen. POP! Multimedia, Inc. is a full-service online development studio specializing in online entertainment and animation.
