Ad rep company 24/7 Media Inc.in New York signed Knight Ridder’s Real Cities and cars.com to its 24/7 Network.
Real Cities, a network of more than 40 Web sites, and cars.com together will generate approximately 45 million impressions per month for the 24/7 Network.
“Real Cities and cars.com are category leaders that present advertisers the opportunity to capture share of mind while users are actively conducting research,” said Mark Burchill, senior vice president, business development and marketing at 24/7 Media. “These sites also provide high-demand ad inventory to the content channels on which we’re focusing.”
Real Cities comprises 29 city sites and 13 specialty sites.
“24/7 offers creative Internet advertising solutions in a credible way. We are pleased to be a part of this experienced team,” said Kathy Yates, vice president of business development Knight Ridder New Media. “This is a win-win relationship–we’re providing national advertisers an opportunity to reach local communities online and the breadth of top metro markets. We’re also the first to bring a city-site selling category to 24/7 Media. . . ”
Cars.com, owned and operated by newspaper consortium Classified Ventures, provides consumers with trusted auto information and an extensive inventory of new and used vehicles from more than 140 major daily U.S. newspapers.
“Partnering with 24/7 allows us to provide advertisers with opportunities to reach qualified consumers in the early stages of a major shopping process,” said Greg Stuart, vice president of marketing at cars.com.
