Execs & Accounts: Avenue A | Razorfish, Glam Media, Epic Advertising

Avenue A | Razorfish promotes three trio; Glam Media promotes Scott Schiller, an IAB founder, and Epic Advertising names general manager for Europe business.

Avenue A | Razorfish promoted Avondolio, Krick, and Wessels. John Avondolio was promoted from vice president of client services to group vice president, client services. He will be responsible for developing strategic communication plans with each of his client teams. Brian Krick was promoted from search director to vice president, search. Krick is responsible for developing search marketing strategies and managing a team of search strategists, managers, and coordinators for clients. Ron Wessels was promoted from associate creative director to creative director, he works in the Philadelphia office. Wessels will be responsible for account management and driving innovation and creativity in the production of client deliverables.

Glam Media promoted Scott Schiller to EVP of global marketing. The promotion was part of Glam’s strategic reorganization to better align itself as the network to deliver brand engagement for display advertisers. The position is newly created. He has more than 20 years of advertising, sales, management, and start-up media experience at companies including Disney, AOL, Sony, Prodigy, and MTV. Schiller is a founding member of the IAB, and its first vice chairman.

Epic Advertising tapped to Rob Wilson head its European business. Wilson, senior vice president and general manager, Europe, will be based in Epic’s London office, and will start in mid-October. Prior to joining Epic, Wilson served as regional director of the U.S. and U.K. markets for Zanox, a performance marketing company. Previously Wilson has also been managing director in Europe for 24/7 Real Media; and director of editorial and customer operations, Europe for Yahoo Search Marketing.

Mindset Media expanded its sales team to support new business. The online ad network hired Stephanie Wang, manager, business development; Liz Griszkievicz, senior account executive, Midwestern region; Nicole Dugan, senior account executive, Western region; Chana Stern, senior account executive.

Advertising Week 2008 selected Air2Web as its official mobile marketing provider. The mobile marketing company is helping to inform conference participants about events throughout the week via mobile devices.

Peer39 named Curtis Viebranz to its board. Viebranz is the former chief executive officer of Tacoda. He spent 17 years at Time Warner and its predecessor company Time Inc., holding numerous senior management positions in the U.S. and abroad.
