Sue Decker, the former prez of Yahoo who left in January when Carol Bartz won the CEO post she was gunning for, has a new gig in academia. Harvard Business School has named her an entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR) and a faculty member in its Immersion Experience Program. She was one of four EIR’s announced yesterday.
The head of DoubleClick’s nascent ad exchange has left to pursue a new, as yet unnamed job, Media Memo reported. Michael Rubenstein was in charge of the product before DoubleClick’s acquisition by Google. His departure follows that of DoubleClick CEO David Rosenblatt last spring.
Tremor Media promoted Rich Knopke to VP, East Coast advertising. He was previously director, East Coast sales for the video ad network. The company is now seeking a VP, West Coast advertising, to be based in L.A.
Jim Barnett is stepping down as Turn’s CEO. Barnett, who has led the company since its inception, will be replaced by President and COO Bill Demas, and will stay on as chairman. Demas joined in December 2008.
iCrossing promoted Antony Mayfield to SVP, social media. Mayfield came to iCrossing through its acquisition of U.K.-based Spannerworks, which he joined in 2006. iCrossing also named Brian Haven, former senior analyst at Forrester Research, as VP strategy.
Canon U.S.A. tapped Bazaarvoice to bring consumer-generated product ratings and reviews to mobile devices. Shoppers in retail stores where Canon products are sold can visit m.usa.canon.com to see the reviews, offered through a Bazaarvoice product called Mobilevoice.
