Avenue A/Razorfish promotes Carlson in Chicago; Adtech signs global contract with .Fox; Blinxx staffs up in ad sales.

Avenue A | Razorfish promoted Valerie Carlson to creative discipline lead. Carlson will oversee design and content disciplines in the Chicago office.

Platform A’s Adtech signed a global ad delivery contract with .Fox Networks. Adtech replaces incumbent platform Helios IQ. Adtech will migrate the service to over 100 sites across 20 countries within six weeks.

Blinxx doubled its ad sales team with hires in San Francisco, London, LA, and New York. The appointments include Kat Kashefi as advertising sales manager in London; Darrin Porter as director of advertising sales, San Francisco; Jason Whidby as sales manager, Los Angeles; and Maximiliano Ramirez as director of advertising sales, New York.

Jerry Buhlmann was named CEO of Aegis Media. Buhlmann succeeds Mainardo de Nardis, and joins the Aegis Board on June 2. Buhlmann has been CEO of Aegis Media EMEA since 2003, responsible for 32 national markets. Prior to that he served as CEO of Carat International.

Visible Technologies named Chris Lohman director of client strategies. Lohman hails from JWT Inside, where he was managing director of the Northwest region.

ForRent.com and Vitrue partnered on a user-generated contest. A branded social media community site, WinApartmentFurniture.com will have consumers describe through the eyes of their furniture why they deserve a $10,000 furniture makeover.

ShopLocal won Mervyns as a client. Mervyns will use ShopLocal’s SmartCircular for localized, online promotional ads and for analytics on shopper behavior and weekly online circular activity.
