In an effort to extend the reach of its domain name registration services, register.com Friday inked a pact with Ask Jeeves, which lets users of the search engine register domains directly through the Ask Jeeves site.
The deal also allows Ask Jeeves (ASKJ) users to sign up for other site-building services through promotional placements on the site. Placements for register.com’s (RCOM) services will also appear in the sponsorship area of the computer channel.
“By providing register.com’s easy-to-use domain registration services within the AskJeeves site, we’re in a position to help millions of people increase their web presence by purchasing domain names, email and other Internet services through a Web site they know and trust,” said Richard Forman, president and chief executive officer of register.com.
