CLIQNOW! Sales Group, a unit of 24/7 Media Inc.in New York City said it will negotiate all banner ad and sponsorship opportunities for the debut of OneTax.com, a new online tax preparation and filing service.
OneTax.com was developed by Thomson Financial Services’ Consumer Products Group and Computer Language Research (CLR). It enables consumers to e-file or print their state and federal income taxes online for a combined price of $9.95, and features the same technology and security used by four of the world’s five largest accounting firms.
OneTax.com will be available beginning Dec. 15, 1998, and will be hot linked from the front page of Thomson’s Web site for individual investors, Thomson Investors Network.
“Advertising on or sponsoring the OneTax.com service is a great opportunity for financial institutions and online retailers to reach targeted groups of self-directed Internet users,” said Scott Paternoster, president of CLIQNOW. OneTax.com will be marketed through syndication to channel partners. Thomson said it anticipates as many as 25 million unique users per month during the tax season.
CLIQNOW! will offer banner ads, visibility on the log-on screen, sponsorships of “tax tips” and “thank you for filing” email messages and an additional one-page ad that appears when the users print their return
