Nielsen Co. hires new CMO, WeatherBug loses Jedynak to KidZui.
AOL Chief Marketing Officer John Burbank will leave to join the Nielsen Company in May. Burbank was named CMO, a newly-created position. Before AOL he was VP of marketing at AT&T.
Yellowpages.com named David Krantz president. Krantz has been with AT&T for five years. His previous experience includes work at GoDigital Networks and America Online/Netscape. Krantz replaces Charles Stubbs, who accepted a position as CEO of Primedia.
After nine years at WeatherBug, CMO Andy Jedynak accepted the position of president and CMO at San Diego-based KidZui.
Sanyo North America selected interactive agency ad2 as its strategic Web development partner of record for all its Web properties. Ad2 has already worked with Sanyo since 2003, developing the Sanyo.com Web site.
Think Partnership CEO Scott Mitchell will step down from his post. COO Stan Antonuk was named interim CEO.
Lewis Rothkopf joined BrightRoll’s New York office as VP of network development. The video ad network also hired Mike Beller and Brad Piggott as sales directors.
Carat named Ian Beavis EVP and executive client director. Most recently he was VP of marketing, public relations, and product planning at Kia Motors America. He also held senior marketing positions at Ford Motors and Mitsubishi Motors. His agency portfolio includes time as CEO at Foote, Cone & Belding and senior posts at Bozell-Detroit and Saatchi & Saatchi.
