Carat Interactive hires two to top posts; PGI names three to director roles; former Razorfish CEO goes to Direct Revenue.
Carat Interactive hired Greg Pomaro as VP and group media director in San Francisco, and Gordon Abel as director of marketing. Pomaro joins from Grey San Francisco, where he managed interactive media programs for Oracle Direct, Sun, Veritas and McAfee. Abel was VP of interactive strategy and development for Euro RSCG Worldwide.
Planning Group International hired three into director roles. Bill Goldstein, former executive creative director at Brand Entertainment Studios, joins as director of strategic planning. Bill Whelan, who has done work for Ogilvy & Mather, joins as creative director. Rick Lawrence comes on as associate creative director.
Direct Revenue hired former Razorfish chief executive J.P. Maheu as CEO. Maheu led Razorfish prior to its acquisition by SBI in 2003. He has also done management consulting and was an adjunct professor at Columbia’s Graduate School of Business.
Ambassador Yellow Pages renewed its agreement to represent sales of Yahoo Yellow Pages listings. Ambassador also represents Switchboard.com and its own proprietary sites.
