AmericanGreetings.com picks up advertising agency to retain customers
In a bid to retain customers and increase conversions on its site, AmericanGreetings.com, the online subsidiary of the greeting cards company, has named Beyond Interactive as its interactive agency of record.
Beyond will handle online media, creative, permission marketing and customer loyalty programs for the site. The main aim will be to increase repeat usage and build brand loyalty among visitors.
AmericanGreetings.com’s main traffic generation effort has been through deals with America Online, Yahoo,
and Lycos,
and it now gets eight million unique visitors a month.
“This space is evolving from a slew of sites providing free online greetings into a few significant players providing a rich and very entertaining experience,” said Jordan Berke, director of dialog management for Beyond Interactive.
“Our focus will be on increasing the share of greetings sent among AmericanGreetings.com’s current users, while leveraging AmericanGreetings.com’s strong distribution deals to grow its overall market share of unique users.”
Beyond Interactive is a Grey Global Group company whose clients include Oracle, ClassMates.com, kforce.com, iBelieve.com, GetConnected.com and TheStream.com.
