IAC hires Richard Stalzer to lead IAC ad solutions; Eric Thornton, interactive marketing vet, dies; Revenue Science hires ValueClick's Hirsch.

IAC/InterActiveCorp hired Richard Stalzer as president of IAC advertising solutions. He joins from Bankrate, where he was SVP of sales. The advertising solutions division represents search, display and performance media for a number of sites and online services, including Ask.com, Citysearch, Evite, Excite, Expedia, The Huffington Post, Hotwire, iWon, LiveDaily, Match, Ticketmaster and TicketWeb.

Interactive marketing alum Eric Thornton has died. Thornton worked for Pointroll and had responsibility for the AOL account, prior to which he worked directly for AOL. New York ad club 212 said the following in a statement: “The industry has lost a true friend… Eric was a tireless advocate for rich media and a true leader in our interactive community.”

Revenue Science hired Jeff Hirsch as SVP and general manager of its
behavioral targeting network.
Hirsch joins from ValueClick, where he was SVP of business development. He was previously at Fastclick.

Shopping search engine ShopWiki hired Shoshana Zilberberg-Winter as its first chief marketing officer. Zilberberg-Winter was a founder of early social network SixDegrees, and most recently worked for Audible as lead marketer.

Bazaarvoice is providing consumer reviews to ZipRealty. ZipRealty users can use the feature to rate properties on a scale of one to five based on four criteria: overall rating, curb appeal, interior appeal and quality of neighborhood.

Jumpstart Automotive Media, the auto-focused behavioral ad network, promoted Jason Scoggins to SVP of marketing. Scoggins was a co-founder of Jumpstart and has been SVP of national ad sales since spring 2005.

Tacoda added several sites to its behavioral network. They include Traffic.com, PetStyle, OutInAmerica, GettingHired and ShopLocal. Tacoda said the sites reach 13 million unique users in aggregate.

Sendmail hired Donald Massaro as president and chief executive officer. Massaro was CEO and co-founder at Reconnex Corporation.

Rich media and ad technology firm EyeWonder launched a sales office in Dublin and appointed Barry Bedford to lead it as managing director. Bedford was previously with KPMG Consulting.

Accipiter won the ad management business for Apartments.com.
