Management shuffle at eBay; Carat Fusion new work for Kodak EasyShare Gallery.
eBay made several changes in its senior management ranks. PayPal President Jeff Jordan will soon leave his post, the company said, to be replaced by Skype head Rajiv Dutta. Jordan, with eBay since 2000, cited a desire to spend more time with family. Alex Kazim, Skype’s VP of products, will take control of the division, and Skype North America General Manager Henry Gomez will become CMO and director of country operations worldwide.
Additionally, eBay made Lorrie Norrington president of its international operations. She was previously president and CEO of Shopping.com, a role now to be filled by Josh Silverman. She replaces Matt Bannick, who will now spearhead eBay’s philanthropy efforts.
Carat Fusion created a digital marketing program for Kodak EasyShare Gallery. It leverages the client’s partnership with Disney and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.” A series of rich media banner ads incite Web users to enter a photo treasure hunt. The work also includes a custom MySpace page.
Unsubcentral hired John Engler as VP. He previously held senior roles with 24/7 Real Media and Cox Newspapers.
Reprise Media hired Mark Schwartz as VP of sales. He was VP of sales at Donnelley Marketing, a division of infoUSA.
Blast Radius hired Malcolm MacGregor as managing director of European operations. He joins from Sapient, where he led healthcare business development for the U.K.
Narrowstep, which operates a broadband video platform, hired Jill Thoerle as interim CFO, replacing Steve Crowther. She was previously acting CFO and board director at Mediaport Entertainment.
