Little moves to Guardian, Eyewonder appoints two staffers, agency Ballpark hires interactive vet

Previous WashingtonPost.Newsweek Interactive CEO and publisher Caroline Little has been hired as special adviser for Guardian News & Media’s U.S. operation. As reported by The UK-publisher’s Guardian.co.uk site, Little will join the board of ContentNext, publisher of PaidContent.org, which Guardian purchased recently.

EyeWonder made two key staff appointments, and plans an international expansion. Ricky McClellen was named chief information officer, and Bruce Reese named chief financial officer. McClellen has a background in information technology and business process. Reese was previously CFO of a data management systems company. EyeWonder opened offices in Amsterdam, Madrid, and Hamburg this year.

The Ballpark, a Santa Monica-based creative agency, named Erik Penn digital director. Penn has over 12 years of interactive and technology experience including Web development, CRM, SEO, and online media. Penn was previously director of production for Threshold Interactive, director of interactive at Hamon & Associates, senior producer at BBDO, engagement manager at Organic, and director of technology at Deutsch LA.

Online marketing firm [x+1] recruited David Skinner to the position of VP of Site+1, its targeting system. Skinner was formerly senior vice president of Marketing Management Analytics for the firm, formerly named Poindexter Systems.

Vibrant Media expanded its London office with several sales and publishing executives to address growing business in Europe, Russia, and Asia. Jonathan Baron was named VP of international sales; Matt Boak, senior account manager; Alex Davies, account manager; Naomi Ferguson, head of technology client sales; Emma Lacey account manager; Tom Pepper, account manager; Fiona Salmon, account director; and Fola Sullivan, account director. Anna Tracey, head of the U.K. sales team, moved to the London office from Vibrant’s New York office. On the publishing side there were additional hires including Carl Jordan, director of publisher solutions Europe and Sheila Williams, publisher solutions director U.K.

SEM agency Impaqt hired three new executives. Brandon Fritz, search account manager, was previously interactive services manager at Kolbrener. Bryce Walat, SEO copywriter, was a technical writer at Five Star Development. Michael Williams, search associate, is a recent graduate from Robert Morris University.
