News America Digital Publishing (NADP), producer of Fox Sports Online, Fox News Online and TV Guide Entertainment Network, signed an advertising agreement with Yahoo to be the online sports media sponsor for designated content areas of Yahoo Sports.
The specific content areas consist of Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Hockey League. Spending was not disclosed.
“Through our agreement with Yahoo, NADP has access to and can extend our reach to the Web’s largest audience of users,” said Matt Jacobson, executive vice president of NADP. “NADP’s agreement with Yahoo allows us to advertise and expose Fox Sports Online to our key demographic audience through Yahoo’s powerful distribution platform.”
As part of the relationship, NADP will also run banner ads for Fox Sports Online on related areas of the main Yahoo directory and search results pages. In addition, the agreement also includes a front-page promotion, which is scheduled to run on Yahoo during the last two weeks in December. Fox Sports Online plans to offer a contest and prizes around Super Bowl XXXIII.
