AdForce, ClickAction Team for E-mail Marketing

Two marketing players take their vows in a marriage of e-mail andbanner ad technology.
Banner ad-serving technology meets email distribution technology, in Wednesday’s co-marketing deal between AdForce LLC and ClickAction Inc., an agreement aimed at providing clients with one-stop-shopping.
The two firms have agreed to co-market one another’s services to their clients, and eventually to integrate their services so that banner ads can be served via email. AdForce is CMGI‘s ad-serving technology company, and ClickAction provides email campaign management services.
“AdForce and ClickAction share the objective of ensuring that clients optimize the return of their online marketing investment,” said Joe Cortale, executive vice president of worldwide sales at ClickAction.
“We believe that through this partnership, where we bring together Web advertising and opt-in email expertise, we will be able to provide clients a significant competitive advantage.”
ClickAction’s clients include Patagonia, Brooks Brothers, Sara Lee, Vicinity, Boise Cascade Office Products, and Dean and Deluca. AdForce’s clients include 24/7 Media, ArtistDirect, Netscape Netcenter, and OneMediaPlace.
