AKQA hired Shane Ginsberg as managing director of its San Francisco operation. Ginsberg was a cofounder of Razorfish San Francisco, which merged with SBI in 2002 to become SBI.Razorfish. Shane left SBI.Razorfish before its recent acquisition by aQuantive. He has done work for Microsoft, Cisco Systems, Genentech and Sun Microsystems, among other clients.
AKQA also recently hired Molly Parsley as marketing and public relations manager. Parsley was most recently with Carat Interactive.
Tacoda Systems hired William Jaris as director of East Coast publisher sales, a new position.
Prior to accepting the job, Jaris spent a year as senior director of publisher services at Advertising.com in New York. Earlier he was senior VP and director of sales for LightningCast and director of product sales for @plan leading up to its acquisition by DoubleClick in 2001.
“As Tacoda continues its rapid growth, we are pleased to have a senior executive with Bill’s substantial experience to help develop us new markets,” said Curt Viebranz, Tacoda president and COO.
Gay and lesbian publisher LPI Media will use CheckM8’s AdVantage platform to manage and serve ads on its Web properties, including Out.com and Advocate.com.
“We were very impressed with the inventory management, rich media, and trafficking workflow capabilities, and the ability to limit the exposure of high-impact advertising to our users,” said Publisher Joe Landry.
