This by way of CNET: Obama’s nominee to head up the Justice Department’s antitrust division — Christine Varney — could create growing pains for Google. And as far as she’s concerned, worrying about Microsoft monopolies is passé. In an interview with Bloomberg last year, she said, “For me, Microsoft is so last century. They are not the problem.” She added, Google “has acquired a monopoly in Internet online advertising.”
