The New York Times Company stands to add more original health content to its site through the acquisition. I’m sure the site will enhance About’s search optimization prowess, considering it’s a warehouse for ratings on hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, mammography centers, and docs. The site also has a “Decision Assistant” that helps people measure quality of care provided by hospitals. According to Paid Content, About will make the newly-added content free to users.
