White House National Drug Control Policy Director John Walters unveiled a new Web site today aimed at preaching the dangers of methamphetimine abuse to the 18-34 year old demographic.
Problem is, the video and image rich site Anti-Meth Campaign site is kind of buried inside the static and wordy MethResources.gov. It’s not going to be easy to find — particularly by those who need it most.
The Anti-Meth site is fairly rich in rich content, nearly all of which bears the prickly disclaimer “for viewing only.” The exception are a couple of unremarkable but downloadable banner ads.
The print and broadcast campaign kicks off this week in the eight states most notorious for meth addiction and treatment: Alaska, Washington, California, Oregon, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky, before rolling out more broadly in 2008.
