AdStar Scores Tex Mex Paper Sites

A handful of Southwestern newpaper sites will be using AdStar, the classified ad sales platform. MediaNews Group Interactive (MNGi) will use the service for its El Paso Times site and eight New Mexico newspapers including Las Cruces Sun-News, Deming Headlight, The Current Argus and The Lordsburg Liberal. (How come we don’t have cool newspaper names like those ’round these parts?)
Apparently, MNGi has used AdStar’s system on the majority of its paper sites since last year. The publisher puts out 50 daily papers and 121 non-dailies in 12 states.
The latest version of AdStar’s application allows advertisers to create and schedule separate ads for print and Web, and add photos, e-commerce options and Web info.
