Texaco selected Agency.com to develop a comprehensive online strategy for the company.

The agency said it will assist Texaco in determining how best to use the Web to support its global corporate, brand and product strategies, both internally and externally. Billings were not disclosed.

The project will begin with a strategic consulting phase to determine which of Texaco’s activities will benefit from online support. This will be followed by development of the Internet and Intranet venues with launch targeted for 1999.

“Texaco understands that the Web can be a key tool to enhance its business processes, which makes this assignment all the more compelling7,” said Chan Suh, CEO of Agency.com.
