Documents suggest that Amazon is set to release a credit card reader which will connect to smartphones to carry out payments.

Internal Staples documents, obtained by 9to5Mac, suggested that the reader will cost $9.99, and may be in US stores from 12 August. The obtained documents also suggested that the product will be alongside brands such as Square and PayPal.
