Globally, 71 per cent of the people who bought cars in the past year said that fellow consumers influenced their decision to purchase. Are customer reviews the secret to big-ticket conversions?

Recent research by Bazaarvoice is difficult to refute. The customer reviews company found that CGC — a broad term for any form of digital content created by people about a product or service they have experienced, used, purchased or considered — has had an 86 per cent lift in conversion when compared to people who didn’t seek advice from other consumers.

Bazaarvoice also found that CGC is particularly effective with high-income consumers and younger demographics. In “The Conversation Index”, a new whitepaper, Bazaarvoice explains how marketers can make full use of this powerful tool.
