Avenue A Media hired Maggie Boyer as director of media.
Boyer, formerly with the iballs agency in New York City, will manage the media department and assist in developing new client relationships. She brings more than four years of experience in electronic commerce, direct-response marketing, pre- and post-campaign analysis and negotiation.
“Maggie brings further depth and breadth to our already-powerful media planning group,” said Mike Leo, vice president of account services for Avenue A. “The respect and credibility she commands in the Internet media space can only mean increased value for our clients.”
At iballs, Boyer managed all of the planning and buying efforts for clients, including Netscape, Bose Corp., J.Crew, Music Boulevard, The Princeton Review, Variety.com and ChannelWeb.
Before joining iballs, Boyer helped develop and launch Wunderman Cato Johnson’s Interactive Division, spearheading media planning and buying for clients such as Chevron, Miller Brewing Company, Blockbuster Video and DuPont Lycra. In addition, she managed the planning, buying and promotional efforts for H&R Block’s national Internet campaign in 1996-97. She also has worked at MMB Advertising in Chicago and at Clarion Corporation of America.
