Environ.com, VerticalNet Swap Marketing Opportunities

Two B2B players forge an alliance aimed at cross-pollinating theiraudiences.

Environmental compliance portal Environ.com and B2B network VerticalNet on Monday teamed in a deal that leverages the audience of each company.

Under the terms of the agreement, Environ.com will get links and exposure in 12 of VerticalNet’s online communities, including Chemical Online, Electrical Contracting, ElectricNet, Food Online, Meat and Poultry Online, Plant Automation, Pollution Online, Power Online, Safety Online, Solid Waste, and Test and Measurement.

VerticalNet will, in turn, tap Envorn.net’s database of customers.

“This agreement with VerticalNet is part of our strategy of working with winning companies to bring the best resources to our B2B customers,” said Robert Johnson, chairman and chief executive officer of Environ.Com.

“We are happy to share our content and our customers with a leading company like VerticalNet.”

Additional co-marketing programs include joint tradeshow and database mining initiatives.
