Execs & Accounts: Euro RSCG, Starcom, Mixpo

Euro RSCG wins Jaguar; Starcom names head of consumer context planning.

Euro RSCG Worldwide won Jaguar’s digital business. The account will be managed out of Euro RSCG’s New York office, headed by ECDs Alicia Johnson and Hal Wolverton. The assignment expands on an existing relationship.

Kathy Kline was appointed head of Starcom’s consumer context planning practice. Kline will guide the agency’s approach to mining consumer insight.

Jeff Lanctot was named to Mixpo’s board of directors. Lanctot is SVP of global media at Avenue A| Razorfish, a subsidiary of Microsoft.

Stockgroup Information Systems hired Threresa McVean as VP of advertising sales. McVean has served as a consultant for the Interactive Advertising Bureau and TNS Media Intelligence. She was previously managing director of online advertising at the Toronto Star.

Los Angeles-based davidandgoliath named Jessica Halter-Powell account director with a specialization in travel marketing. Davidandgoliath created a new position for Halter-Powell, who worked for McCann Erickson’s global hospitality team. She also worked at Leo Burnett on programs for the Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line accounts.

Proteus won a mobile marketing contract with Keller Williams Realty in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The program combines SMS messaging and mobile Web sites to update home buyers with text message queries, additional details, and links to property listings.

MediaWhiz made several senior appointments in its New York, Atlanta, and Ft. Lauderdale offices. Kelly King, national sales manager, will work with brands and agencies. She was previously VP of direct sales at Aptimus. Fred Lu, tech lead for PubPal and ShoppingAds, had previously been product strategy manager at RightMedia. Raj Parekh, GM of LeadROI, founded LeadROI in 2004. Swetal Patel, director of advertiser services, spent five years with Be Free/Commission Junction. Robert Vanslow, GM of MediaWhiz Email, joins from Vayan Marketing group.

Pepper appointed Brennan Roberts and Christian von Vietinghoff co-directors for its operations in North America. Roberts was the first hire in Pepper’s Chicago office. He joined the agency from the parent company Computershare, prior to which he worked at OgilvyOne. Von Vietinghoff has been at Pepper for five years, and worked his way up from manager to team leader. Before Pepper, he spent three years at a start-up in Germany.
