Q Interactive promotes Stec to VP of sales; MediaBrains hires four execs; Marchex names Hanauer vice chairman.

Q Interactive promoted Carrie Stec to vice president, sales. Stec was previously East Coast regional VP of sales for the interactive marketing services firm.

MediaBrains hired four execs. The firm named Jim Murchison vice president of technology, Rebecca Percell vice president of product Development, Gina Paddock vice president of sales and Katie Brennan vice president of brand development.

Local advertising and publishing company Marchex named Nicolas Hanauer vice chairman of its board of directors. Hanauer was a founder and chairman of aQuantive.

The New York Post tapped Quigo for its AdSonar platform with NYPost.com. With the system, The New York Post is able to offer its own auction-based, content-targeted advertising program to national and local advertisers.

Hachette Filipacchi Media (HFM) signed a deal with TheFind for PointClickHome.com. The shopping search engine company will use a discovery shopping system from HFM, which will also represent its advertising sales.

The Weather Channel Interactive will display Pulse 360’s sponsored links on weather.com. The deal is exclusive and multi-year.

Optiem added three execs. The interactive marketing agency hired Patrick McNulty as a pay-per-click specialist, Kris Bernardic as a developer and Tonya Yanok as a project manager.

Turner Network Sales promoted Alexis Hambrick to director of entertainment networks and sports marketing. Hambrick most recently served as network marketing manager, developing and managing affiliate marketing for TBS, TNT and CNN en EspaÑol.

AllBusiness.com named Michael Rogers vice president of sales. The online resource for businesses hired Rogers from SourceForge, where he was national accounts director.

Haystack.com picked Adtech US for ad serving. The ad-supported online music network will use the digital ad serving company’s HELIOS IQ ad serving system.

Digital Camera Resource Page selected NetShelter as its exclusive ad representative. The Web site for digital camera reviews joined the vertical network firm’s Branded Network.

WAYN.com tapped Travel Ad Network to sell its U.S. inventory. The U.K. travel and lifestyle social network’s name is an acronym for “Where Are You Now?”

Underscore Marketing appointed Lauren Boyer as partner & chief global strategist. Boyer joined the media agency from the consumer division of Wyeth.

Shopatron hired two execs. The e-commerce systems provider for consumer goods manufacturers named Brian Clausen president and Mark Grondin VP of client services.
