Pereira & O'Dell hires Joel Kaplan from CP+B; Ripple6 works with Post Grape-Nuts, Unilever and others.

Pereira & O’Dell hired Joel Kaplan as senior writer. Previously with Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Kaplan served on the team responsible for Burger King’s “Whopper Sacrifice.” His work there also spanned campaigns for Volkswagen, Coke Zero, and Zune.

Gannett-owned Ripple6 recently signed several businesses to use its brand communities social marketing product. The brands were: Post Grape-Nuts, Benjamin Moore, Procter & Gamble, and Unilever. Both Unilever and Grape-Nuts program created groups in Ripple6’s MomsLikeMe.com audience, establishing opportunities for social research and community outreach, Ripple6 said.

Bazaarvoice hired Chris Lynch as corporate controller. The provider of online reviews and other social commerce applications hired Lynch from Vignette.
