R/GA promotes Brandt Flomer to director of experience strategy; McCann Worldgroup names Claudine Cheever executive planning director.
R/GA promoted Brandt Flomer to director of experience strategy.Experience strategy director is a newly-created position for the agency. Flomer joined R/GA in 2003 as an interaction design director, and was promoted in 2006 to creative director. Prior to R/GA, Flomer was manager of online initiatives at The James Irvine Foundation in San Francisco. He also worked as an analyst.
McCann Worldgroup in San Francisco appointed Claudine Cheever executive planning director. Cheever, EVP and executive planning director, comes from Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, where she was deputy planning director. Prior to Goodby, Cheever worked as planning director at Ogilvy & Mather. She also served as VP of marketing at Skinmarket, and started her career at youth market agency Lambesis Advertising.
Michael Laur was named executive director of Southwest sales at Yahoo. Laur was the vice president and digital publishing director at the Nielsen Company. At Yahoo Laur will be responsible for driving revenue for the entertainment, games, consumer packaged goods, and pharmaceutical categories for Southwest.
Los Angeles-based David & Goliath named Tim Anderson director of strategic planning. Anderson was previously senior account planner at TBWAChiatDay . Before that he spent over three years at D’Arcy, beginning as account planner and ultimately as senior account planner. Prior to D’Arcy, Anderson worked at The Martin Agency.
Burst Media plans to use PanRaven’s StoryAds on its Burst Network. StoryAds integrate images, audio, video, and text into a single multi-page ad unit.
