Advertisers looking to take advantage of Facebook’s new 15-second video ads may be disappointed to hear that the new format won’t be rolled out until next year, despite previous rumours that it would be unveiled earlier this year.
According to the team at All Things D, sources have reported that the delay is mainly down to Facebook’s hesitancy to disrupt its often ad-adverse user base with the new videos, which are to play automatically when they are introduced.
Despite the delay, many marketers and advertisers are reportedly keen to take advantage of the new opportunity to show off new attractive ads to potential consumers who use the social media giant on the reg, such is the growing popularity of other video platforms such as Pinterest Video and Vine.
