The social media giant launched its first British TV spot in an online Post on 14th February – making it to TV screens during coverage of a Uefa Champions League game, with a second spot airing on 17 February.
Faebook’s in-house creative team, The Factory, created the campaign titled “our friends” to highlight how the tool ‘creates and sustains friendships’.
The ad marks Facebook’s first TV spots tailored to a UK audience.
The TV and online spots are being complimented by outdoor ads in Oxford Street station in London.
A Facebook spokesman said: “Facebook is a place where friends go to make meaningful connections. This regional campaign celebrates those connections and the different kinds of friendship that enrich our lives both on and off Facebook.”
