ImaginOn Inc. has launched a nationwide ad campaign to promote the new version of its automated Web “research engine” WebZinger 7.0, which is set to be available Sept. 9.
WebZinger 7.0 incorporates a number of new features, including an enhanced consumer interface, “that makes it the ideal research tool for college and high school students, as well as for anyone who prepares reports,” the company said.
The print, television and radio advertising campaign, created by Holland Advertising, is now running in 25 college and university markets on cable networks such as Comedy Central, MTV, ESPN, ESPN2 and E!, as well at high profile campus movie events. Billings were not disclosed.
The campaign also includes demo CDs and print ads in the college-market focused consumer magazine LINK and banner ads on top college Web sites.
WebZinger visits Web sites, evaluates them for relevancy, and then generates a multimedia desktop slide show that includes a picture, text, audio and video information from qualified sites.
New features include editing, automatic attribution, pagination and text formatting and it is now optimized to search about twice as fast as WebZinger 6.0. Pricing starts at around $30.
ImaginOn, operating through its subsidiary, ImaginOn.com, engineers, produces and sells business and consumer software for CD-ROM and Internet users, including WebZinger; sellONstream, its e-commerce software solution; and WorldCities 2000 Web/CD travel planners.
