The site, which is currently being developed, will be directly accessible through the two portals, allowing consumers to view and purchase many of the company’s 5,000 decorative accessories. Spending was not disclosed.
Interiors Inc. is a designer, manufacturer and distributor of decorative accessories for the home, which are sold through department stores and interior decorators.
Recently, the company said it plans to establish an e-commerce presence and entered into similar agreements with Yahoo.com and Amazon.com. Interiors’ product lines include framed artwork, lighting fixtures and lamps, decorative wall sculpture, museum quality frames and framed mirrors.
Following the scheduled completion of the acquisition of Petals Inc., Interiors.com will also market decorative silk floral arrangements, plants and trees.
“The agreements with Excite and Lycos are significant steps in the implementation of our e-commerce strategy. . .We will continue to aggressively seek additional agreements and collaborative affiliations with other Internet portal companies and search engines to quickly establish Interiors.com as a highly recognized and familiar cyber destination,” said Max Munn, president and chief executive officer of Interiors Inc.
